HI!
I’m a former teacher, turned 24/7 stay at home momma and wife, so I keep busy now with taking care of the house, my husband and our lil one instead of working 60 hours a week and taking care of other people’s children. It is a nice switch, but a tough one for sure.
In the first year of our daughters life we found out that she has some food allergies that have changed our eating pretty dramatically, but because I love learning, I have taken on this new challenge and life with everything I have. So, to say the least a big part of this ‘job’ is being in the kitchen preparing meals for myself, the babe, and of course my lovely husband.
I LOVE food and I enjoy creating new things or tweaking other recipes that I find, so with this new information about our little one, I have had to stretch my imagination further and really come up with creative ways to give her every bit of nutrition she needs in a different way.
Along with food, I have a great passion for exercise and being as healthy as possible. I used to be a competitive gymnast for about 12 years of my life and that has shaped my beliefs and attitude about exercise in general. On that note, I have definitely had my highs and lows with the never ending battle in the world of being a woman in our society, but I am able to be real about it all. As a momma and wife, you definitely don’t get all that much free time for yourself, so I fit my 2-3 hour workouts in during nap times or after bedtime. I have found that this is the ONLY way for me to stay a little sane. Because well, let’s not lie, all of us women have a touch of crazy in us. 🙂
On the exercise front, I have taken that passion to the next level and have become a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and am loving it!
Through this I want to share the ups, the downs, the new recipes that I’ve found or created, the great workouts, the brutal ones, and to be real about having a 24/7 job that you don’t exactly get paid for.
To LOVE, BABIES, EXERCISE, and FOOD…
